Gem of Aspen's leaves are made from hand-picked Aspen leaves from the Founder of Gems of Aspen, Cindi Davis's personal yard in Aspen, CO. Each leaf is meticulously soaked in a special solution that dissolves the fleshy parts, leaving the intricate veins and skeleton intact. The surface is then hand-painted with a copper coating that protects and strengthens the lace patterns. We then electroplate with Copper Oxide, Sterling Silver, or 24 Karat Gold to create a stunning “Gems of Aspen” leaf.
